Why local rankings change street by street

First on Google Maps outside your door. Invisible two miles away.

Google shows different results depending on where the searcher is standing. Search from your own shop and you look fine. Search from the next estate over, where many of your customers live, and you might not be there at all. A single ranking number hides that. Why I built Kerbrank

Kerbrank started with one clinic in Southsea that nobody could find two miles away.

House of Glam HQ is a skin clinic in Southsea, at the same address Kerbrank runs from. Searched from the clinic itself, it showed near the top of Google Maps.

But most bookings start with someone a couple of miles away, typing ‘lip filler near me’ on the sofa in Fratton or Drayton. From there, the clinic was on page two or worse.

No tool I tried showed that clearly. One gave a single number from a single spot. Others charged in dollars and made you buy credits every time you checked.

So I built my own. It runs the same search from points all around Portsmouth every week, then gives a short list of what to change next.

Then Zoe at Mighty Maids in Havant asked to use it, and Usama at RankLogix wanted it for his clients in London. That’s how it became Kerbrank.

It’s still small and built here, and it won’t report anything it couldn’t measure. If something looks off, message me. I read every message.
