Sharing reports: client links, PDFs and your own brand

How to share a local SEO report from Kerbrank with a client or your team, using a private link or a PDF, and how to put your own brand on it.

The report you see in your dashboard is the same report your client sees. There's one version of the numbers, so nobody has to reconcile two sets of figures. You can share it as a private link that stays up to date, or as a PDF for a meeting or an email.

Everything to do with sharing lives in the Share & more menu at the top of each business.

  1. Open the business from your dashboard.
  2. Press Share & more.
  3. Press Copy client link. A note confirms the link has been copied.
  4. Paste it into an email or message.

The link is private. It isn't listed anywhere and isn't indexed by search engines, so only people you send it to will find it. Your client doesn't need an account to open it.

The link always shows the latest reading. After each weekly scan, the same link shows the new numbers, so you only need to send it once.

To see exactly what your client sees, press Share & more, then Open the client report. It opens in a new tab.

Download a PDF

  1. Press Share & more.
  2. Press Download PDF.
  3. The report opens in a new tab, laid out for printing. Use Save as PDF at the top, or your browser's print option, and choose to save it as a PDF.

The PDF is the report itself, so you need to have taken at least one reading first. It includes the full job list, not just the top three, and a cover page naming the business and the date the reading was taken.

A PDF is a snapshot. It won't change after the next scan, which makes it useful for monthly records or a meeting pack. For anything ongoing, the link is better. What goes in a local SEO report has ideas for how to present it to clients.

What clients see

Clients see the whole report, laid out the same way as your dashboard:

  • The headline numbers, the map and the search-by-search table, explained in reading the map.
  • Who they're up against and how they compare with the top three.
  • Search demand, the ChatGPT results and, if you've connected Google, what Google says happened.
  • The job list, with your top three jobs at the start and every job at the end.
  • A How to read this report section that explains each figure in plain words.

Job progress

Clients see job progress too. When you press Mark as done on a job in your dashboard, the report shows it as marked done and waiting for the next scan. Once a scan confirms it, it moves to Done and confirmed, with the date. If the scan still finds the problem, the report says that as well.

Marking jobs needs you to be signed in, so the client sees the progress but can't tick jobs off themselves. Working through your job list explains how confirmation works.

This is often the most useful part for an agency. The client can see what's been done and that it's been checked, without you having to write it up.

Put your own brand on reports

On the Pro plan and above, reports can carry your name, colour and logo instead of Kerbrank's.

  1. Press Account at the top of the dashboard.
  2. Under How client reports look, fill in:
  3. Name on reports, such as your agency's name.
  4. Brand colour, picked from the colour box or typed in.
  5. Logo address, a link to your logo image starting with https:// (optional).
  6. Press Save. A note confirms that client reports now use this brand.

The change applies to every report you share, including links you've already sent. The report header and cover page show your name and logo, and the cover says the report was prepared by you.

On the Solo plan, reports carry a plain Kerbrank header. Plans and billing covers what each plan includes.

The client link belongs to the business. If you delete the business, from Share & more then Delete this business, the link stops working along with its searches and scans. There's no way to undo it, so download a PDF first if you want a record.
